The game isn't 3d, so everything is made from 2d images. This means that rotation frames can't be automatically generated, which is why some buildings look weird when rotated.

The don't have that ability though. They game's assets are 2D images. There is no automatic way to turn those 3D. It wouldn't be too complicated to do with plug-ins and lua. Just occasionally select a random building on the map (maybe favor larger/taller ones?), destroy it and some neighboring tiles, and replace the empty spaces with the debris tiles. Use Novix instead. It was made by the dev that created Mindustry if you've ever played that. Pixly hasn't been updated in years and is pretty buggy.
