I'll definitely keep that in mind. I do have some plugins on hand that can help with the process, too.

Re: "God Mode" may be required for Online Regions soon...
Hmm, not bad. I'd still love to see God Mode, or some sort of pre-established city terrain editor, become a thing, since such a feature's been a staple of these sorts of games since the early 90's, but if there exists workarounds, then I guess that's acceptable.

You'll get it right if you keep at it. I have faith in you.

Re: "God Mode" may be required for Online Regions soon...
Hey, I'm serious here. It's starting to get annoying just finding a half decent map to use in Online Regions these days. Something's gotta give soon, or us PC players are going to end up just not playing Online anymore. And nobody wins when that happens.

"God Mode" may be required for Online Regions soon...
In SimCity 4, released in 2003, before you establish a city, you are allowed to use the game's "God Mode" to terraform the landscape to your heart's content, raising mountains, gorging rivers, and shaping the land that will serve as the stage for the great Metropolis to come. And you're al...

Re: Pro Tip: ALWAYS HAVE A GAME PLAN
Heh, not bad. Although I have to imagine you put more thought into your road layout than Mayor Becky did in the image above. And probably weren't distracted with talking on the phone while doing it like she was. Haha! I'm honestly more of a fan of having an organized grid of squares I can build with...

Pro Tip: ALWAYS HAVE A GAME PLAN
This is pretty much "City Management 101" at this point, but I cannot stress this enough: Have a game plan before you start building. For example, you don't want to build an expensive power plant, only to find later that you have to bulldoze it because it's in the way. Before you lay down ...

Re: Why I like this game over Cities: Skylines
Well, I'm glad TheoTown was able to get it right. There's still hope for this genre yet, even 11 years after SimCity's death, and after Cities: Skylines has gone, well... https://media4.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExeWZkcWQxMHhod2U5OHQzMTN5ZXh3cGxiYzN3djZsc2R3NjkzeXh5bCZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZ...

Re: Why I like this game over Cities: Skylines
Just because it's free, and because it's on mobile devices. Haha, it may be a free game, but I probably spent a good $20 on the mobile version to unlock a bunch of stuff, and I had no problem dumping another $8 to get the version on Steam when I wanted to transfer over to the PC release. Why? Becau...

Why I like this game over Cities: Skylines
I'm probably going to make some enemies here, but I'm just going to come out and say it: In the race between TheoTown and Cities: Skylines for my favorite NON-SimCity city simulation game, this game's got the top spot, without question. And there's a lot of reasons for that. 1. It's lightweight on w...

Why you should always keep the citizen's needs in mind.
As somebody whose been in the city simulation business for over 20 years, take it from me: Flying in the face of the citizen's and their needs is never a good idea. Your city needs many things to keep it running smoothly, including parks, schools and hospitals. Without these things, your tax income ...

Re: Greetings from Jacksonville, a growing Metropolis!
Why'd you do that? I'm assuming you're referring to the plugins that caused my city of Izoold to quit working. I'm not entirely sure which one caused it to break down, but I do have one or two theories. What's weird is that I've since loaded up other large cities and haven't had any technical probl...

Greetings from Jacksonville, a growing Metropolis!
I guess since this is my second actual post on the TheoTown forums, and since there's no "Introduce Yourself" forum anywhere that I can find (Maybe I didn't look hard enough) , I guess I can go ahead and formerly introduce myself here. The name's Bulldozerman185, and I guess you might call...

Re: TheoTown Forum Chatbox
Oh dear. I wanted to show off a map of my first 1 million population city I made in this game, but for some reason the game keeps crashing when I try to load it up. I guess it's so big the game literally can't handle it anymore. Oh well, tis the life of a Mayor, I suppose.
