i think it had something to do with the plugins i downloaded from the forum they wiped my progress somehow

There are plenty of plugins in the store. Just try search New york or buildings from the USA in general. Otherwise, you might try this plugin.

Regarding the truck, you need to code a normal truck (your own) and add the same id as the original one. Then, write the attribute "override" : true
