Theo tries to reset, bouncing more again, feinting with the jab. He lands a quick 1-2 that backs Canelo up half a step—not powerful, but enough to gain space. For a moment, it looks like Delagarde might be regrouping.

But then—Canelo steps through a jab and lands a thunderous overhand right to the side of Theo’s head. The Frognois staggers back to the ropes. Canelo doesn’t swarm—he stalks. Body shot. Body shot. Left hook upstairs. Delagarde clinches and holds on tight.

R5 - 1:00 – 2:00
Ref breaks the clinch. Theo is blinking more now. Hands lower. Breathing heavy. Canelo jabs to the chest, then unloads a short, brutal left hook to the liver that folds Theo in half—he drops to a knee!

Referee starts the count.

Theo’s face is twisted in pain, gasping.

He’s up—barely. Beats the count at 8. The crowd is on its feet.

R5 - 2:00 – 3:00
Canelo smells blood. He calmly walks in—jab, right hand, hook to the body. Theo tries to fire back, manages a right to the chin, but there’s nothing behind it. Canelo shrugs it off and pins him again, ripping another shot to the liver.

Theo drops his mouthpiece and holds—clearly in survival mode. Bell rings. He makes it back to the corner, but he’s shaken, pale, and barely able to sit upright.

End of Round 5:
- 10-8 round for Canelo with the knockdown.
- Delagarde’s body is betraying him. He’s still got heart—but it might not be enough.
- Commentator Mauro Ranallo: “That left hook was surgical. It’s a miracle Theo is still on his feet.”

Theo comes out slow—no bounce this time. High guard, mouth open. Canelo moves forward like a tank—methodical, calculating, relentless. A jab to the body. Then a straight right upstairs. Theo backs into the corner again, and Canelo starts punishing the body.

Left hook. Right to the ribs. Another left hook—Theo winces and nearly goes down again. He holds, desperately tying up Canelo. The ref warns him to work, but the Frognois is just trying to stay upright.

R2 - 1:00 – 2:00
Canelo steps back, resets, and walks forward again. Jab upstairs, then a vicious uppercut snaps Theo’s head back. He’s still standing, but barely. The ref watches closely. Theo throws a desperate 1-2—it touches Canelo but doesn’t stop him. Another hook to the body, then a short right upstairs.

Delagarde’s legs dip. He clinches again, and now the ref pulls them apart.

R6 - 2:00 – 3:00
Canelo traps Theo against the ropes and uncorks a brutal five-punch combination: right to the body, left hook to the temple, left hook to the body, short uppercut, and another hook to the liver—and Theo goes down again!

He’s down on all fours. Face red. Grimacing in pain.

The ref begins the count.
