Subway Lines in Petrovolgrad
Currently, there are 3 underground lines crossing the city, and a big extension tram line to cover those areas where the subway can't get.

Also, there are 7 bus lines, for urban and interurban routes.

Well, here we are again to show you the Olympic Village in Petrovolgrad.
Everything is ready to host the next Olympic Games this summer, and the citizens are participating in every scheduled event before the games.

Today we inaugurate the Line 4, that cross new neighborhoods on the east side of Petrovolgrad. Some main stations like Olympic Village or Trinity Bridge are already operational, and some others are under construction yet.

Now the Subway system is complete in Petrovolgrad and it's estimated that for the next year there will be 356.400.000 passengers, 25.890.000 more than the last year.

The construction works have had a cost of 15MT, with an overcost of 2.600.000T over the original budget.

Good morning to everyone!

Today is the greatest day of the year for Petrovolgrad! There are many events around the city due to the Big Festival which conmemorates 500 years of the Independence Day, won in the glorious battle commamded by the King Igor III.

Nowadays there is not monarchy in our country, however this celebration has become in the most important for the city, and people all over the world came here to spend some days in this festive atmosphere.

For that reason, the city hall has installed some river beaches next to downtown, where tourists can enjoy the sunny and warm weather of these days.

Live Bruno Mars concert

Thousands of people are enjoying the concert of Bruno Mars in Russia Avenue, the most emblematic street in the city. There are also a lot of sport and child activities in Summer Garden, the largest park in Petrovolgrad, and a few meters far from the concert.

Look at those VIP guest in front of the stage! They are turning up this party!

These stands are reservated for the most influencer people of the city, that are about to arrive.

Solemn Mass

The Bishop of Petrovolgrad has given a massiva Mass as an official act of the City Festival, attended by the Mayor and the Gobernor.

Military Parade

This huge parade is starting from Nava Triumphal Gate when the solemn Mass ends, and is finishing at Karl Marx Square.

Fireworks

A big production of lights color and music is the colophon of the Festival. In fact, it is broadcast live for the whole country.

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Downtown has dawned crowded of people this morning in Karl Marx Square.

Massive protest have taken place at midday claming more parks in the dense city. Several envairomentalist NGOs where supporting the date, as the well known Greenpeace who has damaged the offshore oil rig as an act of rebellion.

The Governor has calificated these acts as a Terrorist Attack, and the full weight of the law will be on those responsibles.

However, the Mayor of Petrovolgrad has decided to star the expansion of the main park in the city, Summer Garden, the bad new is that Petrovolgrad will not have an university anymore. The two-hectare land occupied by the university complex has been expropriated in favor of the municipality for this purpose. Several student unions have taken advantage of the demonstration to cause disturbances at the entrance of the Town Hall.
