I Will teach you all with Chinese Language.
Take a chapter First.
Example:
Father="爸爸" as sound as papa in Français
Mother="妈妈” as sound as mama
Sister="姐姐" as sound as jie jie
Brother="哥哥” as sound as ge ge
Younger Brother="弟弟” as sound as di di
Younger Sister="妹妹” as sound as mei mei
This is a common calling in family of Chinese Part.

Really to say, Chinese are different from all language because it is non-spelling language but i can help with initials.

For basic there are same on basic on all language include English.There are same with vowel but the ir a different in sounding.usually Chinese are make for fours sounds.(with a concept of vowel'a').
