Hi, sorry when i make a great mistake, SGS im sorry when i lie about copyright. But now i can not have a permission to make SPACE CITY building. I will delete all my SPACE CITY files

So I used a building from another city builder (Megalopolis to be exact) as a reference for one I was making. It is not EXACTLY similar, but has some similarities like overall color scheme ( basically mine is a 'dumbed down' version of it). If I complete the building and release it on the site, is it OK to just say that I used the Megalopolis building as a reference? If needs be, I'll also give both images ( mine and Megapolis') for comparison.

I think if you made the building by hand and only used the original as a reference you'll be fine.

Is it okay if I use real life names for example cars when posting a plugin on the forum, but then in-game I name the car simply "Car"? No logos or anything, though you might be tell it's a insert car brand here by looking at it carefully but that shouldn't be copyright infringement, right?

Well since a real life car shouldn't be over 2 pixels tall, an SUV 3 pixels, and a pickup/van 4 pixels ...

Its ok to call it real life names for example cars. And no its not copyright infringement if you just made a replica of it in real life, in fact you are making it in honor of the real life car.

But copying a brand like mcdonalds is not encouraged or putting well known brand into a plugin. But making a replica of it and maybe explain that it is a replica of the brand you copied then it is fine. Since a replica you tried to reproduce it to a similar quality as the original one, not merely copying it directly.

No @max12 aka @sairam, that is something completely different. You are not allowed to just put graphics made by others into your plugin and publish it as yours.

On topic: Using brand names shouldn't be an issue as long as it is clear that you're not the owner of it, that you're not associated with the original owner and that you don't make profit by it. Using logos might be an issue but it should be fine if it is sufficiently pixelated.

There is no use crediting someone if they don't allow the use of the plugin texture of json. So no, it does not make any difference. Make your own texture, instead of taking away from others. Don't set a bad example for others.

I guess it isn't copyright infringement if I make an addon for a plugin that requires an another plugin to function and "steal" frames from? The addon would be just for compatibility with similar plugins.
