I think you can de-zone it around the gates and runways etc with the zone-bulldozer tool.
But I'm not quite sure yet how the airport exactly works. It seems quite fiddly, so, be careful!

Haha! If I remember correctly, if I bulldoze in between, the fences would show up. But since I get irritated by the zone colors, I searched up here for examples and methods hahaha I'll try to experiment on that

But, you need some fences there, or people could just walk on to the runways. That would be a terrible safety issue

Me and josh just have this small airports while others have a spacepad,vtol site,a freaking 9km runway, and a humungous terminal.

it take an entire map for this airport, but this is the 2nd main airport of astrellia, when you see it, you can imagine the size of the city wich take multiple maps
