in all qualifying sessions, all drivers enter the race. among the 16 drivers, anyone who got knocked out in Q1 (not literally, knocked out as in eliminated), which have the 4 slowest times of the session, would start the race on the 4 last spots. theres no such thing as not entering the race, unless the driver is unable to or is not allowed to (rare case, they did too much big penalties and they are not allowed to enter the next gp)
also mendel (can i still call you that?), i suggest changing kashid with someone else. just like how liam lawson in 2025 or pierre gasly in 2019 were dropped by red bull due to their lack of performance, some drivers can be replaced midseason if necessary

De Stavelot develops a clean start, with Robbinson having a bad start to the race, dropping into P10 after the disappointing P9 quali result.

Colombo locks up into Brooklands, losing a position to Rosman. Robbinson has a close battle with Fischer.

Velu Kashid Replaced By Apex 2 Driver

Velu Kashid, second driver to the Dravid Virarkar team, will be replaced by Apex 2 driver Mrugendra Rao, who finished second in the 2024 Apex 2 World Driver's Championship. Mahesh Deshkar, Kashid's race engineer told the media: "Working with Velu has had its challenges. He is confindent, but sometimes too confident. While confidence of your ability is important, it is equally as important as growth. We didn't always see the adaptability that we needed from him, especially in challenging circuits like Nipvisera and Suzuka. We tried different setups, modifying strategies, but those didn't seem to work. In a competitive field like A1, you need to evolve quickly, you can't just hope things go your way."

Team Principal of Dravid Virarkar also stated: "We did many considerations based on the data we have, and Velu just hasn't got it. He just isn't performing as well as Dushyant. We don't expect teammates to be identical, but when one's constantly getting good results and the other can't go into the top 10, it wouldn't go unnoticed. It's not about favouritism, it's about output. When one's getting good results, it raises the standards for the entire garage. Perhaps the pressure was too much for him. Here in A1, and, I believe, in other sports, potential should translate into points. While Velu is confident, it didn't translate to results. This decision to change wasn't personal, it was professional."

As for Mrugendra Rao, his debut at the Sethland Grand Prix might surprise him. He will only have one free practice session to get used to the circuit, before starting the sprint qualifying. Though stepping into the top league is no small ask, Dravida Virarkar insiders suggest Rao impressed in simulator runs. The goal for Rao in the Sethland GP isn't to win, it's to show signals of potential for long-term growth.

Driver's Championship Tie Following the British GP

The Apex 1 Champion title fight just hit a critical point as Penske's Marc Rosman and Dravid Virarkar's Dushyant Radhekrishnan find themselves tied at the top of the leaderboard leaving Silverstone, with 151 points each.
