А - sounds like u in sun, Б - b, В - v, Г - g, Д - d, E - very soft e, Ё - yo, Ж - zh (similar to j), З - z, И - i, Й - like y in yak, К - k, Л - l, M - m, H - n, O - o, П - р, P - like very hard r, С - s, T - t, У - u, Ф - f, X - like very hard H, Ц - ts (like german z), Ч - ch, Ш - sh, Щ - soft sh', Ъ - solid sign, makes sound before it harder and separates it from vowel, Ы - like very hard i, maybe even ui, Ь - soft sign, makes sound before it softer and separates it from vowel, Э - like a in apple, Ю - like you, Я - like ya.

Ukrainian is almost the same, but there's some exlusions:
В sounds like w, Г sounds like h, and there's particular letter for sound g - Ґ. There's no solid sign, it's " ' " sign instead of it. E sounds like Russian Э, and Russian Е sounds like Ukrainian Є. And there's one more letter Ї - it sounds like Russian Йи.
