It's meant for well-developed maps and is well worth it if you have 250 or more tiles worth of tunnel to place on the map.

500 diamonds is rediculous tho.
The size of the map doesn't change the fact that it takes a lot of money or at least a year to get to 500 diamonds. I know it's a dead thread, but still
