You might try to restart the game. If this happens more often and restarting your phone doesn't help you might consider to send us a bug report.

The report contains:

java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke interface method 'int java.util.List.size()' on a null object reference.".

I am a beta tester and I experienced the error on my old cities with a bus station plugin by george99, i tried to open my city but I can't log in no more. I have built 6 regions and I fear that I lose my progress (almost 4 months of building).. please help.

First, backup your cities now.

This bug has been fixed in version 1.9.43 (viewtopic.php?p=165584#p165584)
Most likely you have some military plugin which is causing that. Uninstalling it will fix the crashes for the time being until you update to the latest version.
