hello! i am downloading a new plugin using the theotown wiki. however, the file type is .plugin, so what do i need to do to install these types of plugins? thank you!

You can download .plugin files normally but they are more convenient as you do not need to extract them like .zip or .rar files.
So, just put them in your plugin folder directly.
