Seriously what does airports do to your city?
i don't think airports have use aside from it makes your city nice. IT DOESN'T generate income and making airport is very costly.

It also make money bro, if not on sandbox, it can generate revenue, if you decide to make the runways absolutely minimum to twelve lanes, just one tower, and just one gate and entry, you can add more, sure, but this will cut profits
