Free regions

Hi guys,I've just made an account cause i wanted to upload my free region to save it so I can use it on other devices not just locally on phone.I uploaded it and now I have to buy it for about 60 diamonds to even open one.May you give me a proper explanation on how things work,will I be able to still possess and work on it in the future or is it now in the hands of "trade market" haha? Sorry for my uninformed brain,but I really had to do it cause my phone is on the verge of fatal crashing so the region I made would be lost in that case. Thanks for help!
