251: Money issues

In earlier versions of TheoTown we had the problem that big and really big cities tend to have way to much income than you would ever be able to spend. In order to solve this issue we changed income and costs in version 251 in a way that should help here.

The problem is, that old big cities were built with way too much money and will therefore now have problems to get enough income. To overcome this you would have to optimize your city like removing some schools (especially if they are small and therefore less effective).

Please write in this thread about your experiences with the new system. Be prepared, that old cities might not run well with it. Keep in mind, that it's a test and can be undone at any time (for your cities: you might copy them before using them).

215k inhabitants city, hard mode.
V 251 tax rate 10%, income 100k, spend 350k
V 250 tax rate 6-7%, income/spend ~1.6M
It's imposible to play big cities, but small towns become much easier.

The high big high schools now have 1200 students.
The hospitals now have 12000 patients.

So you need fewer of them for the same number of inhabitants.

Haven't checked everything yet.

For the mentioned cities, do you think it's possible to optimize them to get into positive income again?

I don't think so. I had tried everything to fix Foex City's income but nothing happens.

So can you just please set the money setting back to normal? :(

I start new city. Now it has 4.7k inhabitants, and about 50 rich inhabitants. Income 8.5k tax rate 7%.
If city is 40 times bigger, income must be 350-400k, isn't it?

That's the thing we changed. A 10 times bigger city will just get 3 times more income. To compensate this buildings have adjusted monthly prices.

Owwwwhhhh, so does that means that we collect Monthly Incomes and Prices depending on an individual building itself?
