My city just deleted itself out of existence

So my first planned city, one where I planned even the terrain, every. Single. Neighborhood., placed every building manually, researched the perfect mix for naming every corner of the map with natural sounding names, just deleted itself
This is the last photo that I have of it. Anyone know what happened or if I can recuperate the city? Maybe it's lost in the files or something, I'm literally crying right now

I don't know if the photo went to the post, because I never come here, and don't quite know how to use it. I'm devastated

Was it a single map or in a region? Or online?

It was a single map, generated by an image if that helps

In the maps folder, look for that city file with a .backup or .storeX* endings (if available), rename the file to remove the .backup or .storeX* extensions, and you are done
* X being any number
