New things I have found:

• Ability to have no stoplights when building new roads that would normally have them.
  Ability to spawn my own cars!

It's sort of laggy: traffic on highways that aren't backed up moves like one to three seconds smooth, pause, move again, etc

How can you do that with the ttaffic lights?

Ye how?

Build a new road. There's a traffic light icon up by the bridge icons top right. Press it to turn traffic lights off on the new road.
