The 66 miles of the Trans Marsabit Motorwayhas opened the public.
After 3 years of construction, the road has opened as a toll road.
The entire motorway has been built to a D3M standard, with a speed limit of 70 mph.
There is traffic cameras along the entire motorway that are monitored 24/7 with Variable Speed Limit technology.
A lookback on the road
In 2013 the Marsabit - Chalinze road took over 10 hours to travel, large potholes and a narrow road resulted in lots of delays!
