TheoTown

I'm not sure why this is happening. when I start Theotown, I get a virus warning and the game won't start...

so I ran antivirus and quarantined the Trojan. I reinstalled Steam,ran antivirus and was fine. I reinstalled Theotown from Steam site and when I start Theotown the Trojan is back...
not sure what else I can do...

Hi, does the issue persist? We've recently updated the version of lwjgl which caused a false positive with Windows Defender. I confirmed that the dll is the original one from here: https://www.lwjgl.org/browse/release/3.3.4/windows/x86 (it's a popular framework for java) and escalated the issue to Microsoft. I did not receive a response from them, yet, but it seems they whitelisted the dll by now.

Since it's a relatively new version false positives are not that unexpected.

Looks OK now. I reinstalled Steam and Theotown and the game works. Thank you Lobby

Sometimes false positives can happen with antivirus software, especially with new updates.
