Less pixelated graphic?

Hello,
How can I make graphics in the game less pixelated, like OpenTTD, for example? I'm aware of the optional graphics settings, but they don't fully meet my needs. Are there any mods that could help?

Also, do you think this game is more like a lighter version of SimCity 4, or does it stand on its own?

There's no options to make the game less pixelated except the in-game graphics settings.
