Overpasses and Traffic

Hi Theotown Crew,

Could you please add overpasses and traffic to make it more realistic. If you do add traffic, a way to prevent more traffic would be overpasses.

The two options for this poll are both "no" votes...

I support the idea of overpasses, although I'm not clear on how they alleviate traffic or how they would work in the absence of highways or different terrain elevations (both of which I would love to see).

Booth, overpasses and terrein with different heights is currently not planned. The current game engine isn't built to support any of them so it would be a lot of work. For now I want to focus on more important things like gameplay and tutorial (which seem also to be really difficult, but at least they're more essential to the game).

I don't see any need for overpasses and the like. It seems like the time spent programming them could be better spent on other things.

What if overpasses were to be supported above existing roads only + extra exit tile, built like pipes?

If the game engine is not buildt for overpasses how did you do it with bridges?

Bridges are "normal" roads, they are just drawn a few pixel higher.

It works only because there are no other roads under the bridge :wink:

@Lobby Little bit strange that bridges/overpass are to difficult why did you manage to build a passover railroad in 1.1.56? Passover for cars is just a little step "deeper".

But if bridges are to hard to build in the engine, why not making tunnels?

1x3 road that with tunnel hole in North/South or West/East tunnel passage.
And on top the road the goes in the opposite direction.
