In this thread, I will show you how to make good interchanges and solve traffic.
Motorway to road interchanges
Diamond
Conventional, basic motorway-to-road connection.
Traffic: Little - Middle
Price: Cheap
Land needed: Little

Dumbbell
Halfway between a diamond and a roundabout interchange.
Traffic: Little - Middle
Price: Cheap
Land needed: Middle

Lilo
A junction with no bridges and not much choice if you're on the side road.
Traffic: Little - Heavy
Price: Cheap
Land needed: Little

Roundabout
A sort of a Diamond Interchange. Mostly used in the United Kingdom
Traffic: Little - Heavy

Folded diamond
A half of a cloverleaf
Traffic: Little - Middle

Four ramp partial cloverleaf
A sort of a folded diamond.
Traffic: Little - Middle

A9, Exit 4 (Netherlands)
An exit with a parallel road.

The simplest free-flowing three-way connector.

A difficult interchange to make a road go over the water.

The Everdingen Interchange (Netherlands)
A interchange used for special directions.

A4 - A2 Interchange (Macedonia)
A Macedonian interchange.

R-8 - R-9 Interchange (Phillipines)
A small interchange for a small amount of space.

Partially Unrolled Cloverleaf
A clever improvement on the cloverleaf.

A1 - A29 Interchange (France)
A interchange normally used for toll. Can handle lots of traffic.

If the traffic is still stuck, you might try using parallel lanes. For example:

The middle lane is for going straight, the parallel lanes for going other directions.
Tips & Tricks
Don't use too many curves,
Don't use interchanges too close to each other,
Try building new highways,
Don't use too many roads.
