Idk if it's in beta but adding some sand to the edges of the water bodies in some of the different seeds you can choose from imo would be a good idea. It shouldn't take to much work yo do either because the sand option is there already.

I've suggested something similar to this before and it had a lot of negative feedback, so I doubt it will be added.

I don't see why there would be negative feedback because if you don't like the sand you can place water or land on the tile instead. Also it would be seeds at random with the sand already there or not. Pick your seed.
