Eye Dropper

An eye dropper tool would be helpful for building cities (especially in sandbox mode). An eye dropper would take the selected building and allow you to place it without having to find it in a menu. It would be extremely helpful for the RCI buildings. Maybe it could appear as an option in the building info.

Or we need search filters in the building menu

I like the idea with the eye dropper tool. It could be helpful for using puzzle pieces for example.
I'm not sure, however, how the search function would be a useful alternative to that eyedropper, because why would it be any easier or save time, if you have to type in the name of a building first? It could be useful, though, when you want a specific building but are not sure where to find it.
So in conclusion, I would opt for both suggestions but for different applications/reasons.

What if there were a tab whenever you opened up the build menu that had all of your plug-in buildings in it? Like once you put a plugin into the Theo town plugin folder (if its a placable object like a building or say, trees for example) it would automatically appear in the plugin tab.
(Just an idea, not even a good one at that)

I don't like that idea. It wouldn't be very useful and it would make it harder to find plug-in buildings when they aren't in the correct tab.

The search filter wont help in RCI. They are all named the same.
Sorry, I didnt get this eye dropper.
My own idea is to make something like a building history view in the "view" tab (that weird eye)
Or, add an arrow when hand-placing any building, even parks, fire dept. buildings, everything. Most useful at RCI buildings, so you would never need to open the menu again and again when diversifying a building.

The search filter. If you for example filter this: a tt, 100-200 inhabitant, 3x3 tile. And you will find the building you want

It means a button in build-mode (with an eye-dropper icon) that allows you to "pick up" buildings that you had built before in order to build them once more. It is like the eye-dropper tool in a graphics design program that allows you to pick up a color that is already in your image. Only here It would be a way to change the selected building on the fly without having to switch back to the menu and look for it.
Let's say you are building one of my park-hedges. You have put down some straights then you switch to corners and put down some of these. Then you suddenly realize that you need the straight piece once more. Now, with the eye-dropper you could just select this piece and you would not have to search through the menu again.

It could make laying out text with Lobby's letters easier.

It's a copy and paste of buildings that are in your city already so you don't have to look for that building in all of the menus.
