How to put in bus roads?

I have plenty of roads around my houses and shops , where do you put bus roads in can they go on top of other roads because I don't want to start from scratch all over again my city is really looking great now . Since this update the bus roads have been added now I do not want to delete those roads I just went to all the trouble of putting them in.
