I think it would be too much work and too difficult to write and offer plugins. Also it seems to be not necessary at all when it comes to space. 22.5 MB is consumed by music and sounds. All graphics together consume ~3.6 MB. So in conclusion, there shouldn't be anything we cannot put directly into the game
