Railroad system ideas

I have some ideas about how railroads could function when new railroad types are added. Some of these ideas can also be made into a plugin if anyone wants to.
Railroad types:
Metro: The original railroad added to the game. It consists of metro tracks and metro tunnels, which can be connected.
Skytrain: The urban railway. Has compact stations, but can only be built at one height and cannot be accessed by other types of trains. The reason it is called a "Skytrain" is because it is entirely elevated and @-LeoLeo- , who originally made them, said it is based on a system called the Bangkok BTS Skytrain.
Railroad: Railroad that can be accessed by passenger trains and freight trains.
Electrified railroad: Railroad that can be used by electric passenger trains and electric freight trains
High speed railroad: Railroad that high speed trains can use.
Tram rail: Used by trams and can be put on top of roads. Has 1x1 stations like the Skytrain and bus stops.
Train types:
Metro trains: Can access metro tracks and metro tunnels. Requires a metro depot
Skytrains: Can only access skytrain tracks and requires a skytrain depot.
Passenger trains: Carry passengers. Can access railroads, electrified railroads, and high speed railroads. Can carry passengers to other cities (somehow) Requires a train depot.
Freight trains: Carry passengers. Can access railroads, electrified railroads, and high speed railroads. Can carry passengers to other cities (somehow) Requires a train depot.
Electric Passenger trains: Carry passengers. Faster than a non-electric passenger train Can access electrified railroads and high speed railroads. Can carry passengers to other cities (somehow) Requires an electric train depot.
Electric Freight trains: Carry passengers. Faster than a non-electric freight train Can access electrified railroads and high speed railroads. Can carry passengers to other cities (somehow) Requires an electric train depot.
High speed train: Carry passengers. Fastest type of train. Can only access high speed railroads. Requires a high speed train depot.
