You have to build a tunnel just when the hill starts, and finish. Attached a horrible drawing xD

Hm, it doesn't seem to be as easy as in your drawing...
After a lot of trial and error I came up with this result (see below). Sometimes I had to start the tunnel 2 tiles from the slope and sometimes 3 tiles from the slope in order to get the tunnel portal. But for some road types (and the rail) I couldn't get a visual connection between the tunnel portal and the road (rail) at all, no matter what I did.
Is there a special trick to it that I should be aware of?

My intention is to add a "constant level" mode. That should make it much easier to build such tunnels

Building a tunnel that climbs up or goes down from a huge hill is a big war with fails and glitches
