Phenomenal is the right word to describe the Al-Irsyad Mosque in the residential area of ​​Kota Baru Parahyangan, Padalarang, Bandung, West Java. The mosque without a dome was built by the young architect Ridwan Kamil. The shape of the mosque at first glance is just like a large cube like the shape of the Kaaba building in Saudi Arabia. According to the architect in various media, the dome is only part of his cultural identity, so he prefers to display his Islamic identity through the giant shahada. This sentence is displayed through the arrangement of bricks forming the walls of the mosque. With this concept, from the outside you can see black lines all over the walls of the mosque. If you look closely, the wall lattice with the arrangement of perforated bricks forms two sentences of the creed in Arabic letters. This technique makes the body of the building look like a three-dimensional calligraphy art with a very large size.
