Actually , coordination between the secrets service parts is high and each one cooperate on his responsibilities .

Tbh we figured out that all advanced civilisations suffered the same weakness , being highly dependant on high technologies and informatic systems , but we can correct that , with EMP protections and electronic defenses, what was our main weakness is now a forgotten problem .
But we also thought that military was not the only one that should be protected from EMP and other electronic and cyber weapons .
Our policies imply that citizens should be as protected as the army is .

The Atlantean gov approved a the law project called :

Service Militaire Obligatoire :

This law will obligate every Atlantean citizens who reach 16 years old ( boys and girls ) to serve 1 years in the army ( they will follow their studies at the same time ) , while members of aristocratic families who reach 16 years old must serve 3 years in the army ( and will also study at same time ) .
Members of imperial family must serve at least 5 years in the army .
The objective is to turn thoses pesky scarred boys/girls into Fully trained atlanteans mens/womens .

Fun fact : current Atlantean emperor had served 2 years as a simple soldier and then 3 years as sergeant in the special forces until becoming emperor , he is now the commander in chief of all atlanteans armies .

Avalon has had that kind of law already for a long time. However what makes it different is that students who fail their studies are shipped to the army as their redemption.

I do suggest however that the studying and army training be done separately. Imagine the physiological impact it could have on a person if it were done the same time

Change in laws wasn't a good item,basically if law set,it was better remain at same if without a proper amendments.
