Before the attack an air bombardment at the city began and lasts 2 hours downing 7 Jets including the coalition.

Reinforments arrived after the Battle of Marawi bay. The reinforcements consists of 45th Armoured Division and 12th Armoured Division with 582nd Infantry Division,Some other Divisions of the coalition and 89th Corp Infantry and Armoured.

After the Occupation of Mindanao by the Communist forces the people in Mindanao that are trapped are now protesting in the capital of Mindanao. Over 1.3 Million People are protesting and rioting throughout the Capital. Over 867,610 Willowans protested in Ericson Square and demanded to allow people to leave the country. Military was called in and ordered all protesters to disperse but people didn't. At 8:34 Pm Communist forces started firing at the crowd Willow journalists captured the bloodshed that is occuring tanks were fired at the crowd and many protesters are helping each other some protesters fought back stealing their guns and firing back but they died. Over 300,000-550,000 + People were killed. This is recorded as one of the worst War time massacre ever in Theo world.
