Finding buildings only by keyword in description and title is too inconvenient with a lot of plugins. For example, because buildings from some plugins have no description.
More filters are needed and they should be based on buildings characteristics, which are in any case written in plugins files.
At least, requires a search by: capacity (for residential), speed (roads), generated energy/water/etc. (supply), range and quantity of people served (services) and influences (religion ones).
In addition, it should be possible to search not only by an exact number, but also with a condition: greater/less than that exact number.

HI! hope you are well.
Do you think relying solely on keywords is limiting, especially when some plugins lack descriptions? Would adding search filters based on building characteristics and conditions for numeric values improve the process for you?

Yes! It makes sense relying solely on keywords, especially with plugins lacking descriptions, is definitely limiting. Adding filters for building characteristics like capacity, speed, energy generation, and service range would definitely streamline things. Also, adding conditions for numeric values like 'greater than' or 'less than' could really fine-tune searches. I think those would be great additions! But, Would these additional filters and conditions make your workflow smoother, or do you think there are other areas that could use improvement too?Koornia wrote: ↑26 Aug 2024, 12:59Yes and yes.
