You can have Theotown run cooler by turning off animations such as smoke and sparkling water, and draw cars off in the settings. Or lowering traffic volume.

Unfortunately it was not the heat, and even with everything turned off and almost no cars, it close the same. I had to uninstall it

If it was Stuckenborstel, look for a 7_4.backup or 7_4.store# file in the folder shown above.
If one exists, rename 7_4.city to _7_4.city if it's there. Or delete it.


Then copy 7_4.backup to 7_4.city and rename the copied file 7_4.city

See if Theotown loads the map now.

If not, and there are 7_4.store0, .store1 files, repeat the above process using .store(highest number first) instead of .backup

Hi! I am playing theotown this morning when suddenly it stopped and a notification popped out saying "Theotown has stopped". I install, reinstall, clear cache and delete some plugins but nothing works. When I clear the data and open it I noticed that all of my cities are functioning well except one of the maps in the region that when you click, the loading screen will pop and the game suddenly stop. Please help me fix this. Thanks.
