How to delete traffic lights?

Since the latest update on my tablet I can not remove traffic lights if I do it says do you want us to build now? It is nothing to do with traffic lights either! Also when I put roads in the traffic light icon is missing now all I get is a red arrow pointing down and a green one pointing up I am guessing the red means putting roads underground like tunnels am I right?

What road are you using? What version of Theotown?

Some roads do not have traffic lights available. The icon and the box don't appear in that case.

To turn traffic lights off on bridges, you need to press the tile where the bridge is over. To turn off traffic lights under a bridge, the bridge(s) over it need to be removed first.

In the console, type help. There is a command to turn off all traffic lights in the city.
