You can enable it in the settings. It's intended to auto save as that's much more convenient. Most of the time you don't destroy your city, do you?

Nah, I don't destroy my cities. METEORITEEEEEEEEEEE!
I like to destroy my city's and sometimes I accidentally press save :shock:
